i have a weakness for gym fit boys with big tattoos. not the type that proclaims their love for some chick. or the hideous biker variety. i love ink that isn't in colour -- thick and tribal or good line art like dragons or snakes. in change rooms at gyms or dance floors, boys with ink always catch my eye. i feel drawn to touch tattoos. okay, only if the boys are fit and don't look like they'll punch me out. but being raised to have good manners, it is inappropriate to touch or show affection to strangers so i just gaze with affection.

these couple of weeks, i've had a heightened tattoo fetish and this has been brought about by the warm weather and boys coming out in singlets. i was mesmerised by this boy during lunch who had a huge asian dragon in line art spread from his right shoulder through his back with the head ending on his left arm. it was so beautiful that i wanted to (a) rip off all his clothes and fuck (b) run my fingers across the dragon (c) lick the dragon. i decide these actions were all inappropriate since (a) i was eating (b) he was eating (c) this was a public place (d) he was much bigger than me and could punch me out with his thumb.

ink is infectious. i've had two tattoos in my life and still crave to do more. my first was a celtic armband which i did when i was in uni. the second was a much bigger celtic piece which runs on my left bum, thigh and up above my waist. unfortunately my picture taking skills are hideous with a single hand so i can't post a shot. it took three sessions and about five hours.

these tattoos signified milestones in my life. the first was living overseas on my own and the second was starting life again as a single person after the end of a long relationship. maybe i should think about a third now since it will be a milestone for 2007 when i have quit work/completed my postgrad/about to move/hope to start a new career. it'll probably have to be huge since there are so many things to commemorate.

i welcome suggestions. but no postage stamp sized ones, chinese characters or biker tattoos please.

How has your arm band dealt with your bulking up? Does the ink skew?

kenny: nothing has skewed fortunately. i hate the thought of ink going out of shape. NOOOO!!!!

I hear you on the tattoo fetish. :D After going to Sensation for NYE, and being surrounded by hot muscular men sporting tribal/yakuza/thai style tattoos, I'm motivated to get inspired for tatt number 3. :D
